🌿 What This Class Is

This beginner watercolor class is designed for adults who want a calm, welcoming introduction to watercolor painting in a supportive, in-person setting.

You don’t need to be “artistic.”
You don’t need prior experience.
You just need curiosity.

The class is taught by local artist and former interpreter (docent) at the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio, Cheryl Vargas, and focuses on making art approachable, enjoyable, and pressure-free.

During this guided session, you will:

  • Learn basic watercolor techniques step by step

  • Practice with professional materials (all provided)

  • Explore color, water control, and simple composition

  • Create a finished watercolor painting to take home

Instruction is clear, paced, and designed for beginners.

Her classes are designed to be welcoming, relaxed, and beginner-friendly, with clear guidance and plenty of time to work at your own pace. She believes art should feel accessible, enjoyable, and pressure-free for everyone.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Plans change — I understand.

  • You may cancel up to 7 days prior to the class date.

  • Instead of a refund, you may transfer your registration to another class date of your choice (subject to availability).

  • Requests to change dates must be made at least 7 days in advance.

Refunds are available up to 7 days before the class date.
After 7 days, cancellations receive studio credit; no-shows are non-refundable
